As a consequence, in September 2023, the court determined that Caixa Econômica Federal and other Union bodies must compensate citizens who had their data used inappropriately in the amount of R$15,000 .
The determination takes into account that the bodies that should have access to the information would be specific entities, such as Caixa Econômica Federal and Dataprev .
However, this data was exposed and forwarded without authorization to more than 10 financial institutions.
