Whether it be a pair of well-fitting jeans and a t-shirt with some kind of clever design on it, or a three-piece suit, he'll almost always look like he put significant effort into his appearance. In reality, he just doesn't like looking cheap. His closet holds range of graphic design t-shirts, polos, button-down shirts, slacks, and jeans. Though he generally - and truly - doesn't give a shit what others think of his fashion sense, he still holds himself to high standards.
``Overall;; In today's world, people would probably be quick to describe Marius' appearance as "hipster." Mention it to him and he'll vehemently deny it, but being well-dressed, pale as snow, and anti-social often results in such stereotypes. "Approachable" is one of the last words anyone would describe him as. His favorite accessory is a practiced scowl. In class, he will almost always sit alone in the back of the room. The biggest impression most people come away with is his eyes - they've often been described as icy and harsh. His expression is almost always deadpan. On the whole, he is respectably British - classy yet remarkably snarky.

Marius has a sweet tooth, as much as he tries to hide it. Try getting on his good side by baking him cookies or buying him candy.
He has a mild case of OCD, making him very anal and particular about the world around him and how he goes about his daily life.
His memory is outstanding. In fact, though he hasn't expressed it verbally, some suspect he may have a photographic memory, which contributes to his painting skills.

Marius is very, very quick to judge. First impressions are key when it comes to meeting this Brit. He absolutely cannot stand unintelligent people and will openly display his disdain for anyone he doesn't like. He is not one for beating around the bush. On the whole, he can generally be a real asshole.
He is irrationally irritable. Funny, since almost his entire personality is based on logic. He is terribly good at apathy, but some things will never fail to push his buttons.
He has a particularly difficult time empathizing with others. Generally he is of the opinion that his is the best way and others are just plain stupid.
``Secrets;;
He has feelings. Shhh, don't tell.
Though not strictly a secret, Marius likes to keep his life tucked away from the general knowledge. A large amount of trust is required to access confidential knowledge.
``Personality;; Marius sees the world in black in white. He applies his own code of morals to life, and if you don't comply, then that's tough shit. He is sarcastic, snarky, cold, and blunt. Quick to judge and slow to trust, you'll be lucky if you ever make it to his good side. He has no qualms with looking down on others and will often compare intelligence as a way of sizing up others. Overall, his life is very centralized. If it doesn't concern him directly, you'll be hard pressed to find an ounce of care in his scrawny British body. His OCD makes him extremely irritable, and you can bet he won't go out of his way to warn others of his sensitive points.
However, when not being irritated beyond reason, Marius is the epitome of calm and collected. He has the innate ability to remove himself from emotional situations and think through things logically. When not angry, he is actually pleasantly shy, very content. and loyal to those who earn it. His greatest weakness is letting bitterness corrupt his view on life, which happens far too often. Past the hard outer shell lies a quiet mind, a sweet smile, and a penchant for caring. But few ever make it that far.
History
``Mom;; Daphne Cane, 48, administrative assistant. Marius and his mother have no serious troubles in their relationship. Though she may not always understand his intentions, Daphne has always been supportive of her son. Marius respects his mother, but does not feel the need to burden her with his psychological troubles.
``Dad;; Niles Cane, 52, Professor of Analytical Chemistry. Niles has spent a lot of time trying to pass his academic legacy on to his son. He readily recognizes Marius' capacity for learning and intelligence. On the whole, their relationship is more master and apprentice than father and son.
``Sibling(s);; Alexander, brother, 15, student. Alex and Marius have never been as close as their parents wished. Though both have a quiet, introverted view on life, they never seem to get along. While Alex secretly wishes to be as talented as his older brother, Marius lacks empathy and will often be far too blunt with his younger sibling. They tend to stick to formalities with each other, avoiding deeper conversation.

``Other;; Perhaps, but he won't be quick to talk about them.
``History;; Marius was born and raised in England, fortunate enough to have parents categorized as "upper middle class." Aside from struggling with bullying and his powers, he had a relatively normal childhood. School consisted of excelling at everything except for physical activity. His parents were able to give him anything reasonable that he desired - books, art supplies, alone time. Overall, his childhood was calm and organized. Only when his powers started to show did things become complicated. Change is not something that settled well with Marius. Though Daphne and Niles nearly always allowed their children to make decisions for themselves, they decided to make Marius attend a school for the "gifted" that would take him far away from home. He was never happy with their decision. Away from the protection of home, his life is vulnerable, and thus his attitude is callous.
``Powers/Abilities/Gifts;; Marius has the power to control energy and temperature around him, which is linked to his emotional state. When calm, he projects cold. When angry, he exudes heat. On the whole, the more disorganized or messy his feelings, the more he tends to project heat. However, Marius is a master of keeping his emotions in check. As such, he tends to have more control of cold than anything.
