``Dress style;; Octavia isn’t picky about what she wears; she has a good range of clothing items of all kinds but tends to keep to the casual stuff.
``Overall;; Octavia tries not to look unprepared and always tries to plan her outfit. It isn’t uncommon to see her wearing jeans and a t-shirt, or a dress if she hasn’t had the time to pick out a proper outfit of a top and jeans or skirt. Almost every color in the spectrum and every material marketed is represented in her wardrobe and she takes pride in her diverse collection.
While she does quite obviously care for her appearance, her one weakness is socks – she can never find a pair of matching socks no matter how hard she tries. To solve this problem, she just very rarely wears socks or wears some kind of footwear that hides her socks as much as possible.

& Will freak out if her hands are restrained behind her back – the result of a bad bullying incident
``Personality;;
Enthusiastic; Some people describe Octavia as very draining to be around with her constant energy and enthusiasm. Give her an idea and the chances that she’ll like it and be eager to help you with it are spectacularly high. It almost seems that she is on a constant endorphin high.
Curious; She loves learning about new things and isn’t ashamed of asking for knowledge, help – anything. When she gets carried away, she tends to unintentionally ask too many questions.
Optimistic; “There’s good in everyone” is her policy in life and it leads her not to antagonize or penalize others for their actions. If someone seems like a jerk, she’ll put it off to something bad having happened and that while they didn’t have the right to act like a jerk, the choice was justified.
Bullheaded; What’s wrong is wrong and what’s right is right. Octavia has her own code and she goes by it. It’s hard to get her to change her mind and hard for her to accept your point of view. Push and she’ll push right back – but that’s only if she’s formed an opinion.
Gullible; If she hasn’t formed an opinion or is new to a subject, she is more than ready to accept someone’s opinion. In this case, it’s first come, first serve. The first person to give her knowledge and their opinion about it is always the most influential to her and she’ll readily take the opinion as her own.
History
``Mom;; Lauren Sinclair, 43, waitress, very close to each other.
``Dad;; Joao Silveira, 42, pilot, rarely at home but always brings back gifts for Octavia.
``Sibling(s);; None
``Pet(s);; Monty – a year old West Highland Terrier
``Other;; Maria Gonzales and Veronica Landon – her two best friends.
``History;; Although she was born in Lisbon, Portugal, Octavia spent most of her childhood in Glasgow. Joao knew he wasn’t going to be available for her childhood and so he moved the family back to Lauren’s hometown – Glasgow. Even though he knew that time would be short, he always tried to make time to see Octavia and Lauren. Lauren’s entire family was gifted with healing powers and she was no exception. Joao himself was gifted with the ability to commune with spirits of the deceased.
Octavia was no stranger to special powers and eagerly awaited the development of her own powers. She was taught not to let the existence of these powers slip but had a good childhood, making friends and growing up like any other girl. She always looked forward to getting her powers and being able to do amazing feats like the rest of her family. Every time her father came back, she demanded that he teach her Portuguese – his home language and soon it became a language that they would speak together – a sort of secret language since no one – not even Lauren – knew how to speak it.
She had no real problems growing up until she was thirteen. Her father had accepted a new job that required them to move to Atlanta, Georgia and it would be her first time moving to a new country. Octavia had been excited about it and sad at the same time to be leaving her friends. Her powers hadn’t surfaced yet but with some reassurance that this was normal, she moved with promises to keep in touch with everyone.
Things didn’t go so well in her new school though. It was a completely different environment and many people made fun of her for her accent, different personality and views. Still naïve at the time, Octavia allowed herself to be tricked and used. This didn’t go well for her and ended up being tied up and bullied by a group of guys older than her when she was alone and lost once. To this day, she has no idea how she managed to make her way home but she did. Her mother was furious and insisted on calling the cops but Octavia with her adamant “good in everyone” outlook, forbade her mother from doing so or telling Joao.
It took a long time for her to finally recover from the incident but from then on, she was wary of others and didn’t trust others nearly as easily. While still her normal, energetic self, Octavia refused to be alone for very long. Whenever she slept in her own room, she locked herself up tight and always kept a baseball bat near her. She still tried to integrate with the community there and eventually succeeded. Her parents surprised her with Monty – a puppy – when she turned fifteen and since then, her fondness for dogs grew and she became an affectionate person once more.
Octavia’s powers surfaced as she turned sixteen. Joao was home that time and he was complaining about being harassed by a ghost. Curious, Octavia touched him and asked him to make her see the ghost. He told her that he couldn’t but exclaimed when he said it seemed to be fading while Olivia saw the ghost. Her parents eventually figured out that she had stolen Joao’s power and wasn’t a medium herself. Her parents congratulated her on her achievement and then sent her to Stone Brook for the new school year.
``Powers/Abilities/Gifts;; Power absorption; By touching a person, she is able to determine their gift and essentially steal it for a short amount of time. Right now she can only steal a part of the power but can’t store it for more than five minutes. Once five minutes is up, she will be unable to use the power again and has to initiate contact and absorb the power to use it again.
This power is not involuntary and she has control over if she absorbs a power and how much she absorbs. Octavia won’t know how to use a power right off the bat and will have to learn how to handle it before she can perform with it. Once the power fades, she’ll still have the knowledge and will be able to further it once she absorbs the power again.
Once a power is stolen, the original user of the power will not be able to use it until the power is returned. Octavia can essentially render gifted powerless for a short amount of time. If she doesn’t steal the full power, the original user will be able to use whatever power is left.
``Role Play Sample;; The new thing around the school was in: prom. As much as Jezebel shied away from school talk, the event was well publicized and everyone - literally - was talking about it. Every corner she turned saw another person or group of people talking about the same event. Some sort of fancy dance thing.
Thankfully it was open to the upperclassmen only. Jezebel did not like the sound of “fancy” and hated the idea of “dance” and downright detested the following notion of “crowds”. She was definitely going to do her damnedest best to avoid the event like the plague. See? An idiom. Her research and memorization of idioms as per Eponine’s suggestion was working out. To be honest, it really wasn’t that bad - especially since her time acceleration power had really helped. How had she not thought of it before? Strange.
It was a rainy day and she was sitting in one of the second floor lounges, feeling the need for more space than her room currently allowed her. Jezebel’s legs were crossed and a tablet was resting on her lap, blue eyes flicking lightly over the screen as she read and reread idioms and attempted to find some sort of meaning for them so she would be able to use them when the time came. If she was going to do something, she figured that she was going to do it properly and not let her efforts go to waste. Why just understand them without using them? That was just pointless.
Without lifting her eyes from the screen, Jezebel took a chip from the bag next to her, idly munching on the processed, flavored corn. While she loved her fries, she didn't like her potato chips nearly as much.
