One of the worst things that Jacques figured would happen to him was getting bored. Sure enough, he caught himself spacing out a few times and knew that it was a good sign to tell him that it was more than time to look for something to do. And since he was hungry, he decided to bake since that would take away both hunger and boredom. Seemed perfect to be honest.
Once decided, he rolled the sleeves of his plaid shirt up, heading straight for the cafeteria, where there was sure to be a kitchen. Jacques made his way over quite easily. Unfortunately for him, it was a mostly boring and uneventful experience. All the more reason for him to start baking again. Scones sounded good right now. Simple but tasty.
Without bothering to check if he was allowed in the kitchens or not, Jacques walked straight in, grinning at nothing in particular. It was so nice and spacious here - if only his kitchen at home was like this, he could do anything he wanted, bake anything he wanted anytime.
Well. Now for the scones. Jacques hummed to himself as he gathered his ingredients. He found the sugar, butter and milk easily enough, but the flour was mixing. Where could it be?

The boy was getting a snack from the cafeteria, something sugary! He walked up and grabbed a cookie, yessss. Kaiser took a bite and smiled. Exactly what he needed. "Hrmm?" He muttered as he heard some noise coming from the back of the prep area. The boy moved closer to the door and peeked his head in. Woah, he wasn't a cook here. Kaiser was sure of it, he had made it his mission to get to know all the cooks that worked in the cafeteria, especially when they usually have him special treats that no one else got.
"Hey..." He said, his head still peeking through the doorframe. "You're not supposed to be in here...it's not allowed for students to be back here." Kaiser walked in a bit and looked at the boy. "You're gunna get in trouble."

"Ah! There it is!" Jacques exclaimed to himself, holding up a bag of flour happily. Now he had all the ingredients that he needed to make what he wanted to make. Humming to himself, he brought the bag to his little work area, pausing and staring at the ingredients. How much to make? There probably wasn't any point making a lot of them unless he was going to have them for breakfast every morning. Even then, that sounded extremely boring.
So if he did make that many, what would he do with all the rest? Maybe shove them onto his roommate or something like that. Or someone in the dorm. Whatever, same difference. As long as he didn't have to eat them all, he was fine.
"Hey..." Just as he started getting to work, the voice interrupted him. Jacques looked over to the door, grinning as he saw some short, blonde kid. Pretty little kid. And a little angel at that. Huh. How strange. He really hadn't been listening to the other's words. But he did see the cookie in his hand.
"Trouble? That's practically my best friend," Jacques waved the comment away as he started with the butter. "You like cookies, I see," he noted, dumping a good lump of butter into the mixing bowl and pouring a bit of sugar in. That looked like a decent amount to him. The butter smelled a little different to the one at home, but it would suffice. The taste could be a little off though.

"You like getting in trouble?" He asked tilting his head a bit. "Why?" That was so weird. He could never understand why people liked to get in trouble, wasn't it just easier to listen to the rules and be good? "Y...yeah. I like cookies." The boy said looking at his treat then back to the other. "Are you making cookies?" Kaiser asked a small smile in his lips.
Maybe this guy wasn't so bad after all. If he was gunna make treats then he couldn't be so bad, maybe he would share. "What's your name?" Kaiser asked as he too a small bite of his cookie. "I'm Kaiser."

Jacques shrugged, "well, it's fun to see what people do. And how you get punished, if at all," he winked as he mixed the two together, "you would be surprised how serious some people would take punishment," he thought back, smiling as he remembered some things that he'd gone through before. Good times, good times.
"Cookies?" He gestured to the bowl that he was mixing before shaking his head, "they're actually scones. I guess they could be considered cookies but they're English. You Americans and your slang," Jacques shook his head with a radiant smile. To be honest, he wasn't completely British either.
"Come closer, would you? I don't bite!" He called, cracking a couple of eggs in. "Jacques Darcy at your service!" He grinned.

"I like your accent." Kaiser said as he finally picked up on it. "And I know what scones are...I'm not dumbbb." He said with a giggle. The boy shrugged and walked towards the other when he was told to. "Nice to meet you Jacques, that's kind of a weird name. Mines not that normal either though..." The boy said as he took another small bite of the treat.
"People always say it wrong too, it's kind of annoying!" He said with a sigh. "Anywaaaaaay-" The boy said lifting himself on his tippy toes to look inside the bowl. "Where's you learn to cook?"

Jacques gave the blonde a lopsided grin as he mentioned Jacques' accent. Before coming here, he hasn't realized that he had one. "Glad at least someone here thinks so!" He replied cheerfully. "Scones are great, I don't suppose they have cranberries here, do they?" He asked absently. He preferred his scones plain... or with something random in them.
"C'est français, mon cher," Jacques told him, using an authentic French accent. "I am actually French." With that, he added the flour in, mixing it expertly so that nothing fell out of the bowl. "Some rum would be nice," he added thoughtfully as he stared at the mixture of ingredients.
He turned back to Kaiser, tilting his head, "I actually taught myself," he replied. "I can't really cook but I've heard that I do make good cupcakes," he winked, "wanna try some?" He tipped the bowl towards Kaiser.
