Management of the external communications channel

Currently, although this agency is not yet active, communications can be submitted to the Catalan Anti-Fraud Agency , which has assumed the functions of the Informant Protection Agency in Catalonia. Likewise, the AEPD has enabled a channel with the same communication purpose.
The AAI, in its capacity as an independent Fax Lists administrative authority, and as a public law entity at the state level and its own legal personality with full public and private capacity, assumes, among others, the following functions :
Adoption of whistleblower protection measures
Sanctioning power
Regulatory self-regulation
The concept of self-regulation refers to the necessary sectoral or corporate commitment that, in the field of governance, promotes, in a responsible manner, the development and implementation of non-regulatory actions, but aimed at achieving excellence in this field, such as:
Internal ethics and compliance programs .
Due diligence procedures and appropriate risk management.
Compliance programs and policies
Corporate governance structures.
However, these actions may not be sufficient , allowing opportunities for improvement; therefore, and in compliance with the principle of due diligence, the following figures may arise, among others:
Sectoral codes of conduct
The so-called soft law
Codes of good practice
An example of this, in the health field, is found in the Farmaindustria Codes of Good Practices , which apply both to relationships with professionals and organizations in the health field, as well as to patients.
