"There is no surprising Randall... Seriously." He giggled nervously. He sort of still expected to be slapped for being such a jerk earlier. To be honest, he still felt like he was slightly... barely... right in the way he acted. Sure, she wouldn't have cheated, but that guy was definitely picking up on the flirting and not turning it away. He may be sensitive, but a slight push is still a push.
He leaned back, taking a breath. "I think I owe you icecream..." He smiled at her, standing up and holding out his hand. "butterscotch perhaps Buttercup?" He looked over her features. He couldn't stand the thought that he'd almost shoved her away... He knew deep down he'd have begged for forgiveness at some point though. She meant more than just ego to him...

Liza smiled a slow smile before laughing," You make him sound like some super spy. An all knowing sneaky man. I'm sure I'll blow him away. My personality has a tendency to do that you know." She felt the urge to pick up the previous argument only slightly. Liza wasn't one to hold grudges. She hated being mad at people. She'd say she was sorry to someone even when she did nothing wrong. She liked to keep the peace. But something in her told her that she hadn't done anything terribly wrong. She was teasing someone who was also in a loving relationship. Someone who would never try to cross the line with her or her with him. But she could see how it could look, she just couldn't bring herself to believe Signal actually thought such things about her. So she pushed it back into the dark parts of her mind. She knew how it felt to be unsure. She just would never make those fears true for him.
"Oh, ice cream is a splendid idea." The petite girl jumped up and laced her fingers through his. She lightly giggled at his joke before shaking her head. She let go momentarily to grab her purse and when she turned back around she caught him looking at her. Suddenly the urge rose up again as she grabbed his hand once more. Tilting her head up she met his eyes and with a serious expression she said," I would never intentionally hurt you Signal. I would never make you feel...like I felt. It's too horrible and I would never forgive myself. I hope you know that." She dropped his gaze for a moment and looked away. Sometimes you just needed reassurance that you weren't doing something in vain.
